Ronald McDonald House - New Heights
This film weaved together three family stories each on their own journey but bound together in their need for Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon. Their circumstances are unique but their discovery is shared: Ronald McDonald House isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a place that lifts you, cares for you, understands you.
As director, my goal was to make this feel like we are with them on the last day of home before traveling with them to the house and talk to them about how their lives were affected by their child’s illness. They talk openly about what they left behind in the deepest part of their journeys when their kid’s were the sickest to where they are now and how RMH played a vital role in being their home away from home. We celebrate how staying together as a family is extremely important no matter how complicated things become.
These are immersive stories of endurance, connection, and what a home really is. Told honestly, beautifully, and in the families’ own words.
The film was shown at their annual fundraising gala and since, we have created multiple cutdown versions for social platforms and email marketing campaigns in support of the house and their capital campaign
